Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes???

The All-Star Game is behind us; and before you know it, the Stanley Cup playoffs will be here. And with that, the speculation over any changes for the 2012-13 season can begin in earnest.

Chris (a fellow Floridian) over at Icethetics just came out with his 2012 Rumor Watch. Rather than have me regurgitate the information he has meticulously compiled, I'll just provide a link to his blog entry here. But to sum it up in general terms, here's the gist of what I'm seeing:

I'm not seeing any major changes to any of the regular uniforms
Buffalo, Dallas, Tampa Bay and Winnipeg could be getting new alternates
Chicago could be reinstating their original black alternates
Edmonton and Florida could be retiring their alternates (the latter was all but confirmed before the start of the regular season)
With Detroit and Toronto the likely participants in the 2013 Winter Classic, you can expect them to break out special throwback-inspired uniforms for the occasion

Chris establishes this, and I will reiterate -- all this information is purely preliminary speculation. Any redesigns will likely not be released until the NHL Entry Draft.
