• The Quebec Bulldogs finally field a team after failing to do so in the NHL's first two years of existence due to financial problems.

• The Toronto Arenas are sold and renamed the St. Patricks, known colloquially as the St. Pats.

• On March 3, the Montreal Canadiens pummel the Bulldogs, 16-3, setting a record for most goals in a single game.

• The Ottawa Senators won both the first half and the second half to advance directly to the Stanley Cup Final, where they beat the PCHA champion Seattle Metropolitans, three games to two, to win the Cup.
