  The Oilers wore patches commemorating their 25th season in the NHL. Also, on November 22, 2003, the Oilers hosted the Montreal Canadiens in the NHL Heritage Classic at Edmonton's Commonwealth Stadium. Both the Oilers and Canadiens wore vintage uniforms for the game. The game was the first regular season outdoor game in NHL history. Over 57,000 fans braved subzero temperatures to watch the Oilers lose, 4-3. |
